Chief medical expert Anthony Fauci said Donald Trump was not following the science in suggesting he is now immune and could ‘come down and start kissing everybody’ in an interview with the BBC’s Andrew Marr. Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in the US, tempered Trump’s claims there will be a vaccine by the end of the year, noting that a wide rollout will take ‘several months into 2021’ and early use will focus on vulnerable populations and healthcare workers.
