Disney+ is easily one of the hottest products of the year, with more than 10 million people having subscribed to the service in time for launch last month. Disney’s early deals certainly helped with that, although the $6.99 monthly fee is already a great deal on its own, especially when you compare it with Netflix and other video streaming option — the price is actually even lower if you buy a full year of access for $69.99. And if you were wondering whether you can actually gift people an entire year of Disney+ streaming for Christmas, the good news is that you sure can. Disney lets you order Disney+ gifts . All you have to do is follow the link and press the Buy Now button. What’s great about the gift card offer is that you can actually s.

For years now, the value proposition offered by Netflix has been absolutely incredible. Even with a string of price increases over the years, the ability to enjoy a wildly large library of quality content for as little as $8.99 remains a remarkable deal. In turn, it's no surprise that Netflix's subscriber base, over the last three years alone, jumped from 86 million to 158 million. The success of Netflix, however, spawned a new battleground for consumer attention in the media space. It's certainly an interesting development, especially given that Netflix not too long ago was on a path towards total streaming domination. Today, however, Netflix is facing stiff competition on all fronts as companies like Amazon, HBO, Disney, Hulu, and even Ap.
A new feature that Google is baking directly into its Chrome browser will ostensibly help all of us stay much safer when surfing the web. As explained in a new today penned by Google senior product manager AbdelKarim Mardini, the search giant is adding a feature to Chrome similar to one it's been working on for a while that showed up as an earlier this year. The gist is that when you're logging into a website while running Chrome, Chrome can kick in and alert you if that username and password have been stolen as part of the cavalcade of data breaches we've all read about. "Chrome has safety protections built in, and now we're expanding those protections further," AbdelKarim writes. "When you type your credentials into a website, Chrome will.
A man in Kentucky got more than he bargained for when he took delivery of an air fryer that police say was packed with some $100,000 worth of meth. According to a post by the Louisville Metro Police Department, a package containing a Hamilton Beach air fryer was believed to be a drug shipment, so narcotics officers . Upon verifying the package had been received, officers executed a search warrant and found that the box with the air fryer also included approximately 20 pounds of methamphetamine. That quantity of meth carries a street value of roughly $100,000. Unfortunately for officers, the man who received the package wasn't actually home at the time that the search warrant was issued. In a somewhat humorous Facebook post, the police depar.
Netflix has such a massive base of viewers at this point, spread across so many corners of the globe, that any improvement in the company's streaming service -- no matter how small -- can end up having an outsized effect. Say, for example, you give people a way to cut down by even just a few seconds the amount of time they spend browsing content within Netflix's app.
Google Maps is one of the best navigation apps, but not all of its features are available in every market where the app can be downloaded. That’s partly because Google rolls out new features in stages, so users in some countries might not get access to some Maps features as fast as others. One other reason is that some Google Maps features are meant to cater to only certain markets. Google on Tuesday expanded the availability of one such feature to more markets, but most people still aren't going to be able to use it. The Motorcycle mode that was first spotted in parts of India and other Asian markets two years ago is now rolling out in Egypt, , with plans of hitting Algeria, Tunisia, and other countries:. There are more than four million mo.

Of all the places in our solar system where life might be hiding out, Saturn's frosty moon Enceladus might be the most tantalizing. The Moon is a vast ocean covered by an icy shell, and NASA's Cassini mission offered intriguing glimpses of huge liquid water geysers erupting into space through cracks in the thick ice. Enceladus is instantly recognizable thanks to its bold blue "tiger stripes," which run parallel to each other across the moon's south pole. Researchers have long wondered why this pattern emerged, and after carefully considering the possibilities and looking at all the available data, they think they've come up with the answer. In a new study published in , a team of researchers at Carnegie Science offers their best guesses as

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing wireless subscribers in the United States that carrier contracts were a thing of the past. Yes, it's true that "service contracts" are no longer used... but you still sign a contract anytime you buy a cell phone from your wireless carrier and make payments each month. Want to switch carriers? You don't have to pay an ETF anymore, but guess what: you still have to pay off the balance on your phone because you're under contract! If you really want to ditch carrier contracts for good, you need to buy unlocked smartphones outright — and Amazon is running a terrific sale right now that shaves $300 off the and Galaxy S10+, as well as $250 off the . We don't advise you to buy the discounted S.

It's been a little over a month since the last major software updates for the iPhone and iPad rolled out, but following another round of beta testing, iOS 13.3 and iPadOS 13.3 are now available. The number of new features introduced in the betas for iOS 13.3 was fairly limited, as evidenced by the fact that Communication Limits for Screen Time was possibly the most noteworthy. There is also a new toggle to prevent Animoji and Memoji stickers from appearing on the Emoji Keyboard, in case you can't stand looking at them and want to turn them off. If you’re wondering whether or not your device is compatible with iOS 13.3 or iPadOS 13.3, we put together a full list below that contains every compatible device. If your device is on there, you’re
Sony made an unexpected PlayStation 5 announcement a couple of months ago. The company revealed the actual name of the console — it’s PS5, of course — as well as a few key features of the new controller, without mentioning its actual name. We expect it to be called DualShock 5 when the console launches next winter, not that it really matters. What gamers will care about are the new features that Sony thought up for the controller, including improved haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. On top of that, the controller might have a few more exciting new features onboard that Sony is yet to reveal, including one nifty feature that we didn’t see coming. First of all, there’s the PlayStation virtual assistant patent that describes a Siri-like A.
The current console generation may be winding down, but until the next-gen consoles have actually been revealed, Sony will continue to pump out new games for the PlayStation 4. Tuesday's State of Play broadcast was evidence of that, as ten games and pieces of downloadable content were on display, most of which will launch within the next few months. So even with the PS5 less than a year away, the PS4 isn't quite dead yet. You can see the trailers for all of the games that were shown off during the stream below, but the biggest reveal was also the least surprising, as Resident Evil 3 leaked online several days ago. Nevertheless, fans of the franchise will undoubtedly be excited to see Jill Valentine and company in HD in the game's first trai.
