The world's largest investment banks are pouring billions into fossil fuels. According to the Guardian newspaper, over $700 billion worth of "loans, equity issuances and debt underwriting" has funneled its way into fossil fuels and fossil fuel-based companies since the Paris climate change agreement. JPMorgan was the biggest culprit, providing over $75 billion worth of funding — over a tenth of the total.
