Promising an indulgent, grown-up chocolate affair, the eco-savvy brand has committed to planting three trees for every calendar sold as part of its ‘Plant A Tree’ initiative. X5 Retail Group, a leading Russian food retailer, has opened its first cashierless Pyaterochka store with fully-automated checkout systems. The new Pyaterochka #naletu is located at 2 Velaskesa Boulevard in Moscow. This pilot store aims to address a new generation of shoppers who prefer to make quick and contactless purchases at stores located nearby. Once feedback from the trial period has been analysed, a decision will be made regarding the further development of this format.

Brits could spend £4.94 billion on improving their homes and gardens before Christmas, according to new analysis released by Kantar today. DIYers say they still have work to do despite many households already sprucing up their properties between March and early September, including 60% of respondents painting in their home and 37% fixing or building furniture.

Kantar, the world’s leading data, insights and consulting company, announces the appointment of Alexis Nasard as chief executive officer, effective 30 December 2020. Nasard joins Kantar with almost 30 years’ experience in the FMCG and retail world. Most recently Nasard is currently CEO of Bata. Prior to that, Nasard spent six years at Heineken, culminating in the position of president of Western Europe Business and global chief marketing officer. Earlier, he worked for 17 years with Procter & Gamble, in a variety of marketing and general management roles.
