Tampa coffee roaster Buddy Brew plans to transform a vacant storefront on Bay to Bay Boulevard. The former home of Klikfit at 3302 W. St. Petersburg's plan to reinvent the struggling area of Commerce Park includes building a new African American museum. Through the "Deuces Rising" plan that St. Pete Mayor Rick Kriseman announced earlier this week to bring new life into the 22nd Street corridor, part of the plan will be building a new Carter G. Woodson African American History Museum on a city-owned, 5-acre lot along 22nd St. South, also known as the Deuces. The current location for the museum is on 9th Ave.

In a federal lawsuit seeking millions of dollars in damages, a Tennessee man is accusing Florida’s largest medical marijuana operator of illegally sending text messages to his cell phone. The lawsuit alleges that Quincy-based Trulieve Inc. violated federal communications laws by sending unsolicited text messages to Mats Jaslow that advertised special deals on marijuana products in October and November. Tampa and St. Petersburg both fell on list of the cities with the most successful immigrant integration efforts in the U.S. The Big Guava is now No. 92, falling from the 84th spot last year, on the New American Economy Cities Index of the nation’s 100 largest metropolitan areas. Meridian Development Group, a Tampa-based commercial real estate agency, has sold three units of Meridian Concourse Center in Clearwater, a four-building office and flex/industrial complex, for $15.3 million. The buyer, Albany Road Real Estate Partners, bought three of the buildings, 4400, 4600 and 4800 140th Ave., while the fourth was sold for $6 million to APG in a separate transaction in July.

A Boston-based marketing tech firm is expanding to Tampa. Drift announced it will open its fourth U.S. office in Tampa, following its expansion into San Francisco and Seattle. Venice-based PGT Innovations has acquired a Tampa door and window manufacturer in a $92 million all-cash deal. PGT Innovations, a door and window manufacturer and one of the largest public companies in the state, acquired NewSouth Window Solutions, the company announced Tuesday.
