You may remember news back in the summer of 2018 about Facebook's Onavo Protect VPN , when it was pulled from the Apple store due to the fact it collected an impressive array of information and sent it home to Ryan's clone. It had been available since 2013 and it took five years of this behaviour before Apple finally pulled it.
