Based on the ligand scaffold of an imidazolyl/benziimidazolyl moiety and a N ‐CH 2 C(=O)NHPh substituent, two series of ligand precursors with ortho hydroxy groups incorporated on the N ‐Ph rings were prepared. The structural fine tuning of the ligand scaffold allowed the facile synthesis of tetranuclear Pd complexes with a NHC ligands. For precursors with C2‐Me blocking groups, pyridine‐assisted C—H bond activation led to the formation of mononuclear tridentate Pd a NHC complexes or tetranuclear complexes with tridentate CNO donors. Representative mononuclear and tetranuclear Pd a NHC complexes were structurally characterized by X‐ray diffraction studies, revealing very short Pd─C bond distances. The tetranuclear Pd a NHC complexes were ve.
A new and facile one‐pot synthesis of 1,3‐disubstituted allenes, using cheap and readily available terminal alkynes, benzaldehyde derivatives and morpholine, was developed. A small library of 20 allenes demonstrates a broad applicability, with yields up to 86%. Isotopic‐labelling and cross‐over experiments strongly indicate that our reaction proceeds via a two‐step A3‐coupling followed by a 1,5‐hydrogen shift process.
Abstract. Aim. To evaluate effects of a 0.454% stannous fluoride Test toothpaste on dentine hypersensitivity (DH) applied by fingertip, then 3 days' brushing, versus a sodium monofluorophosphate‐based Control. Materials and Methods. In three randomised clinical studies, DH was assessed using evaporative (Schiff Scale) and tactile (Yeaple probe) stimuli.
