A month ago, Tesla revealed several secrets regarding the new chip the Silicon Valley company has designed for full self-driving capability. Nonetheless, some of the people making that presentation may have failed to take into account that not everyone is fully literate in microprocessor design and engineering. I don't fall into that category either, but I have been a computer enthusiast for quite some time and know a few things that might help me pick out some of the highlights, point out why they are so exciting, and further communicate how Tesla really is way ahead of the competition.

We did it. We drove 1,140 miles (1,835 kilometers) powered only by electricity! We started out last Friday afternoon at 3:30 PM, stopped for the night in Schaumburg, IL, and arrived at our hotel in Washington D.C. at 11:30 PM on Saturday night. We spent 19 hours and 20 minutes in the car and 4 hours at stops for lunch, dinners, and some quick errands.

As reported here and here, there was a lot of information presented at the 2019 Tesla annual shareholder meeting. And although there were a lot of small details covered and hints given about the future, there wasn't any earth-shattering news. In my summary, I noted they didn't "let the cat out of the bag." But I didn't really know what the cat was, so I didn't comment.
