Little consideration has been given to vibrations when the effect of grinding process parameters on the surface morphology is studied. Taking a grinding force as the intermediate variable, influences of grinding depths on the surface topography are investigated with considering vibrations in this paper. Firstly, a novel grinding force prediction model is proposed through amending the Malkin model by integrating with contact arc length and abrasive grain contact angle. Secondly, vibrations of the feed platform and the grinding wheel shaft are analysed. The study investigates how liquidity positions affect bank performance at Vietnamese commercial banks for the period of 2007–2017, in terms of credit risk and profitability. We employ the generalised method of moments (GMM) for the dynamic panel models to implement some alternative regression techniques. The robust results indicate that the liquidity position induces a trade-off between risk and return. More precisely, banks holding more liquid assets tend to face less credit risks but yield less profits. These effects seem not to be strong and we also examine if the effect of liquidity on bank return exerts an increasingly downward slope depending on bank riskiness, but there is no significant evidence found. The CNG dispensing unit is an important investment for taking advantage of CNG fuel, though its handling is not as simple as other conventional fuels. The cost can only be realised if it is operated with maximum availability. The purpose of this paper is to report on a study comparing joint venture and non-joint venture projects in terms of their performance and usage of project management practices. Data were obtained from project managers at 99 contracting organisations in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) construction industry. The results show an agreement between the two types of project in the usage level of 35 out of 40 different practices associated with the ten knowledge areas articulated in the Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide (PMI, 2017). The importance of hydraulic, geomorphological and hydrodynamic conditions in rivers on watershed management cannot be overstated. However, in developing countries, sometimes the infrastructure is poor and these conditions are not managed properly. Therefore, this paper proposes a methodology to calculate flow, slope, Chezy's C, Manning's n and hydrodynamic conditions in rivers with a tracer. This methodology allows the calculation of these hydraulic and hydrodynamic characteristics for rivers that have velocity from 0.108 m/s to 1.93 m/s.

The main cause of global warming generates from cement manufacturing industries. In order to reduce green house gas emission, development of alternative of cement is the main challenge. Many multi label problem transformation (PT) and algorithm adaptation (AA) methods need to be explored to get good candidate for avifaunal occupancy modelling. This research contrasted eight commonly used state-of-the-art PT and AA multi label methods. The data was created by collecting January 2014-December 2014 records from e-bird repository for the study area Madurai district, south eastern Tamil Nadu. The analysis shows that classifier chain (CC) and multi label naive Bayes (MLNB) are the good aspirants for avifauna data. The MLNB did best with 0.019 hamming loss and 90% average precision. To the best of our knowledge this is the first time to use MLNB for avifaunal data and the results of multi label naive Bayes concludes that out of 1.

This paper suggests a framework for context. Departing from the perspective of structuration theory, we propose that cognitive processes enable agents to act within structures. Cognition is dependent on institutional configurations which range from stable to fast moving and dynamic. It is argued that the degree of the agents' embeddedness affects the cognition of the agent, which, in turn, enables the agents' abilities to act upon and influence structures in the understanding of structuration theory. Large-scale roughness bed flow is a special flow condition which is commonly seen in mountainous rivers. In this paper, gradient flume experiment is carried out with plum-blossom distributed cubic obstruction blocks with 50 mm edge, and large-scale roughness bed flow characteristics including free surface morphology, flow velocity distribution, turbulence propagation and friction head loss coefficient are studied by high-precision measuring and statistical analysis.
