Xiaomi is expected to launch the Mi 10 lineup next month, and we've been seeing multiple different renders, leaks and artist ideas of how the phone might look like. We have seen a quad-cam setup similar to the Mi 9 (but with an extra shooter), a Mi Mix Alpha copycat, but now real-life shots (from a post that has already been deleted) suggest the Mi 10 Pro will look like the Mi Note 10 from the back. Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro from all angles. Three of the shooters are split in a setup, while a fourth snapper is separated from the bunch. There is also a dual-LED flash that will likely...

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S20 lineup will offer a number of firsts for the flagship series. Some of the most anticipated novelties this time around will be the new camera sensors around the back. Xiaomi is expected to introduce the Mi 10 as one of the first smartphones, sporting a Snapdragon 865 chipset. A leakster from China that is usually consistent with his inside information revealed that the upcoming flagship will have a 108 MP camera, which is exactly what the Mi Note 10 has. This will be the first smartphone with both the latest Samsung camera sensor and the latest Qualcomm flagship SoC, putting the Mi 10 for an early entry for the flagship of the year competition. Introduction. At CES, Mobvoi (formerly TicWatch) announced its newest set of TWS (True Wireless Stereo) earbuds. The TicPods 2 Pro (and TicPods 2) succeed the original TicPods with a slimmer bud design, a 42% smaller charging case, and USB-C charging port. The new TicPods also lose the sealed fit of silicone tips in favor of an open fit like the AirPods or Huawei FreeBuds 3. There are two variants of the TicPods 2. The one we're taking a look at is the TicPods 2 Pro which offers dual-mic noise cancellation for phone calls, TicHear hands-free voice commands, and TicMotion...

The Honor V30 Pro reached our EU office and yes, if you really want to, you can procure one outside of China as well. With a bit more effort, you can even get Google Play services side-loaded onto it. However, as things currently stand geopolitically, the V30 and V30 Pro are China-only releases and as such Google-free out of the box. Whether we like it or not, this definitely needs to be factored into a potential purchase decision. Harsh and unfortunate political realities aside, the V30 Pro has plenty going for it. As per a recent poll, we ran, most of you seem to agree as well....

Samsung is expected to introduce its Galaxy S20 lineup and following the uptick of leaks their specs pages started getting your interest. So much so, in fact that the Galaxy S20 Ultra snatched the top spot in the latest edition of our trending chart. Below its sits another Samsung - the Galaxy A51, which will be looking to match the incredible success of its predecessor, which was the most popular phone in our database in 2019. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro had to concede the lead, but stays on the podium, just ahead of the Galaxy S20+ and its non-Pro sibling. Going down the list we have...

Samsung and Huawei are expected to release their 2020 flagships in the next month or two, and the rumor mill is going wild. Interestingly enough, both the Galaxy S20 devices and the P40 family will have similar looks - a rectangular camera setup in the upper left corner, if we can trust the multiple leaked renders. Other companies like OnePlus and Xiaomi are also working on their new devices - the Mi 10 should be one of the first smartphones with Snapdragon 865, while the OnePlus 8 Pro is going to have a 120 Hz QHD OLED display. Samsung is bringing its second foldable display phone that...

For many years Google maintained a clear division - it makes the OS, other companies make the phones. This all changed when the search giant acquired Motorola's phone and set-top box business in 2011 for $12.5 billion. MotoMaker for the Moto X (before the wood and leather options became available). The first phone to come out of this union was the Moto X, which was unveiled in August of 2013. To make it clear that this is a fresh start, the serious metal and Kevlar look of the Droid era was replaced with soft colorful materials. Motorola offered extensive user...

Goldman Sachs predicted that 200 million 5G phones will be sold this year. A few months earlier TSMC made an even bolder prediction - 300 million. Perhaps that's not so far-fetched, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is forecasting that Apple alone will sell north of 80 million iPhones with 5G connectivity. Huawei already sold 6.9 million 5G phones last year, Samsung moved 6.7 million. Will you be joining the millions who are buying a 5G phone? And if so, why? Chances are that many flagships will feature next-gen connectivity - it's not just the iPhones, Samsung's Galaxy S20 will have 5G modems,...

Last week's poll caused a heated discussion and no consensus was reached. Yet one thing is clear - the Samsung Galaxy Note10 Lite got a much warmer reception, it was a few percentage points off a positive result. It's cheaper than the premium Note10 and Note10+ phones but offers the same S Pen experience. That's unique in the phone world, the few other handsets that have a stylus can't hold a candle to the Note and S Pen. Opinions about the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite were noticeably more hostile. The high launch price is causing many to wonder if the Lite is worth it compared to the...

It seems that every time we turn around lately there is a new development to the Huawei/US saga to analyse and report on. The Chinese giant is definitely moving fast when it comes to adapting and finding alternative solutions and approaches. Probably a necessity, if it wants to keep moving such impressive numbers in stock as it currently is and exist on the Western smartphone scene. Puns aside, there really is no sunny sky readily apparent on the geopolitical forecast, yet Huawei has been flexing some muscle lately when it comes to coping and independence. The latest move in this...

Xiaomi's next Mi flagship has been popping-up hire ant there, from time to time in the last few months, but with little actual accompanying info. A few days ago, a couple of alleged live photos of the device did surface, matching earlier rumors of a quad-camera setup, but also missing the mark on others, like an alleged notch and hole-free display. Xiaomi Mi 10 banner. Thankfully, we now have an official-looking banner to reference. Instantly, we have to notice the Mi Mix Alpha inspired design, the Mi 10 is rocking. Of course, no crazy, futuristic wrap-around display in sight,...

Oppo has a new Find X2 flagship/tech showcase device on the way. That part we know for sure by now, since it has been frequenting the rumor mill. We are, however, still rather short on details, sans from an official denial for the possibility of an under-display camera on the phone. Plus, a vague VP comment on the upcoming phone's thickness. Really not much to go by. Well, a promising new leak, courtesy of a rather reputable source on Weibo, sheds some light on the display of the Find X2. We can, apparently, look forward to a 6.5-inch, 3168 x 1440 pixel curved OLED panel. As for...

Samsung is clearly on a roll when it comes to OneUI 2.0 and Android 10. Of course, we can't exactly confirm or expect that every device will receive the major update ahead of the originally posted schedule, but a pattern definitely seems to be forming. The Galaxy M20 and M30 started getting the OTA in India back in December and a few days ago, the Galaxy M30s was spotted getting a new Wi-Fi certification on Android 10. Samsung Galaxy A60 and M40 Wi-Fi certification. The situation seems to be absolutely identical with the Galaxy A60 and M40. The former was scheduled for an April...

Right off the bat, it is definitely worth noting that GeekBench device hardware data is simply reported on an OS level to the app and is relatively easy to manipulate and spoof. So, this should definitely be taken with a pinch of salt. Even so, Google has been very tight-lipped regarding the next version of its mobile OS and this is one of the first mentions of Android R we have seen thus far. GeekBench listing showing Android R. Looking at the GeekBench listing itself, there sadly isn't any real additional info to extract. The calculated benchmark scores are roughly in the right...

Following the launch of the V30 and V30 Pro, Honor appears to be working on yet another similar device. At least design-wise, that is. Both the MOA-AL00 and MOA-TL00 model numbers have been spotted online, alongside an MIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) certification listing. Honor MOA-AL00. The latter is very similar and close in nature to the more popular TENAA certification authority and just like it features some specs and a few photos of the certified hardware. The latter even have all the standard TENAA markings on them. Looking at the MOA-AL00, we...

Recently, Huawei began pushing the latest EMUI 10 update (based on Android 10) to both the Huawei P30 and the Huawei P30 Pro in the UK. Of course, the unlocked variants began receiving the update way back in November, but today it looks like the Huawei P30 Lite will begin being updated to EMUI 10. Thanks to a tip from a reader, we've been notified that the Huawei P30 Lite has started receiving the Android 10 update in South Africa.
