New Delhi: Crude oil prices rose 0.78 per cent to Rs 3,764 per barrel on Monday as speculators created fresh positions on spot demand. Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude prices to trade higher here. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude for delivery in October traded higher by Rs 29, 0.78 per cent, to Rs 3,764 per barrel in 14,529 lots. Globally, the West Texas Intermediate was trading up 0.06 per cent to USD 52.84 per barrel. Meanwhile, Brent crude, the international benchmark dipped 0.09 per cent to USD 58.32 per barrel in New York.

New Delhi: Crude oil futures fell 1.63 per cent to Rs 3,750 per barrel on Thursday after speculators booked profits at existing levels amid subdued spot demand. Crude oil for delivery in October traded lower by Rs 62, or 1.63 per cent, to Rs 3,750 per barrel with a business volume of 18,388 lots, on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). The crude oil contracts for November delivery shed Rs 64, or 1.67 per cent, to Rs 3,758 per barrel in 471 lots. Meanwhile, the global benchmark Brent was down 0.26 per cent at USD 57.54 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate firmed up 0.04 per cent at USD 52.66.

New Delhi: Crude oil prices rose 0.66 per cent to Rs 3,960 per barrel on Monday as speculators created fresh positions amid positive domestic cues. Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude prices higher in futures trade. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude for delivery in September traded higher by Rs 26, 0.66 per cent, to Rs 3,960 per barrel in 17,012 lots. However, globally, the West Texas Intermediate was trading lower by 0.09 per cent to USD 55.86 per barrel. Meanwhile, Brent crude, the international benchmark rose 0.20 per cent to USD 61.71 per barrel in New York.

New Delhi: Crude oil prices rose 0.1 per cent to Rs 4,005 per barrel on Thursday as speculators created fresh positions on firm global cues. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the crude contract for October traded higher by Rs 4, or 0.1 per cent, at Rs 4,005 per barrel in 18782 lots. Meanwhile, Brent crude, the international benchmark, rose 0.26 per cent to USD 62.23 per barrel.

New Delhi: Crude oil prices rose 9.14 per cent to Rs 4,273 per barrel on Monday as speculators created fresh positions on firm global cues. Analysts said raising of bets by participants mainly kept crude prices to trade higher. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude for delivery in September contracts was trading higher by Rs 358, or 9.14 per cent to Rs 4,273 barrel in 51,535 lots. Crude oil prices witnessed a sharp spike following the weekend drone attack on Saudi Arabian oil facilities, cutting global energy supplies and reportedly halving the kingdom's production. The West Texas Intermediate was trading higher by 9.43 per cent to USD 60.02.

New Delhi: Crude oil prices rose 0.35 per cent to Rs 3,971 per barrel on Tuesday as speculators created fresh positions on firm global cues. Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude prices to trade higher here. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude for delivery in September contracts was trading higher by Rs 14, or 0.35 per cent to Rs 3,971 barrel in 22,944 lots. Globally, the West Texas Intermediate was trading lower by 0.33 per cent to USD 54.92.

New Delhi: Crude oil prices rose by Rs 22 to Rs 4,044 per barrel in futures market on Tuesday as speculators created fresh positions, taking positive cues from physical spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude for delivery in August was trading higher by Rs 22, or 0.55 per cent, at Rs 4,044 per barrel in a business turnover of 23,535 lots. Analysts said speculative positions created by traders led to the rise in oil prices. Globally, however, West Texas Intermediate was trading lower 0.16 per cent to USD 56.30, while global benchmark Brent was up 0.13 per cent to USD 59.82 per barrel.

New Delhi: Crude oil prices rose by Rs 18 to Rs 3,932 per barrel in futures market on Friday as speculators created fresh positions taking positive cues from global markets. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude for delivery in August was trading higher by Rs 18, or 0.46 per cent, at Rs 3,932 per barrel in a business turnover of 23,819 lots. Analysts said speculative positions created by traders led to rise in oil prices. Globally, West Texas Intermediate was trading up 1.10 per cent to USD 55.07, while global benchmark Brent was up 1.03 per cent to USD 58.83 per barrel.

New Delhi: Crude oil futures on Tuesday fell 0.03 per cent to Rs 3,902 per barrel after participants tightened their bets tracking a muted trend in domestic markets. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in August contracts was trading lower by Re 1, or 0.03 per cent, to Rs 3,902 per barrel with a business turnover of 36,836 lots. The crude for delivery in September contracts, however, edged higher by Rs 2, or 0.05 per cent, to Rs 3,915 per barrel with a business volume of 268 lots. Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate crude rose 0.75 per cent to USD 55.11 per barrel, while Brent crude, the international benchmark, was up 0.60 per cent to USD 60.17 per barrel.
