New Delhi: Crude oil prices rose by Rs 22 to Rs 4,044 per barrel in futures market on Tuesday as speculators created fresh positions, taking positive cues from physical spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude for delivery in August was trading higher by Rs 22, or 0.55 per cent, at Rs 4,044 per barrel in a business turnover of 23,535 lots. Analysts said speculative positions created by traders led to the rise in oil prices. Globally, however, West Texas Intermediate was trading lower 0.16 per cent to USD 56.30, while global benchmark Brent was up 0.13 per cent to USD 59.82 per barrel.

New Delhi: Crude oil prices rose by Rs 18 to Rs 3,932 per barrel in futures market on Friday as speculators created fresh positions taking positive cues from global markets. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude for delivery in August was trading higher by Rs 18, or 0.46 per cent, at Rs 3,932 per barrel in a business turnover of 23,819 lots. Analysts said speculative positions created by traders led to rise in oil prices. Globally, West Texas Intermediate was trading up 1.10 per cent to USD 55.07, while global benchmark Brent was up 1.03 per cent to USD 58.83 per barrel.

New Delhi: Crude oil futures on Wednesday eased by Rs 58 to Rs 3,889 per barrel as speculators reduced their exposure despite a firm trend overseas. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude for delivery in July contracts was trading lower by Rs 58, or 1.47 per cent, at Rs 3,889 per barrel in a business turnover of 21,389 lots. The oil for delivery in August contracts also fell by Rs 53, or 1.33 per cent, to Rs 3,918 a barrel in 695 lots. However, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude was trading up by 0.21 per cent to USD 56.37, while Brent crude, the international benchmark, was up 0.11 per cent to USD 62.47 per barrel in New York.

New Delhi: Crude oil futures rose 1.59 per cent to Rs 4,100 per barrel on Wednesday after participants widened their bets tracking a firm trend overseas. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in July contracts was trading higher by Rs 64, or 1.59 per cent, to Rs 4,100 per barrel with a business turnover of 18,036 lots. The crude for delivery in August contracts also edged higher by Rs 66, or 1.63 per cent, to Rs 4,123 per barrel with a business volume of 565 lots. Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate crude rose 1.71 per cent to USD 58.82 per barrel, while Brent crude, the international benchmark, was up 1.31 per cent to USD 65.90 per barrel.
