Lucknow: In an order that has been implemented with immediate effect, Principal Secretary of the Vidhan Sabha Pradeep Dubey has said that half-filled glasses of water should be served in all offices and canteens. "Most people tend to leave water in glasses, hence, only half filled glasses of water will be served and those who want more can ask for it," he said. The order, sources said, would increase the work pressure on fourth class employees, especially during summer months, since majority of the people consume more water and those serving it will have to be ready with second helpings. Saran (Bihar) [India], July 19 (ANI): Three men were beaten to death by locals after suspecting the trio to be cattle thieves in Baniyapur in Saran district on Friday morning, police said. Villagers claimed that four persons came to steal cows. However, when they tried to catch them, one of the men managed to flee. "The three were beaten up by the villagers in a fit of rage. Guwahati (Assam) [India], July 19 (ANI): Government Railway Police (GRP) Guwahati arrested two women and a man from a Rajdhani Express train and seized 175 small pouches containing 34,100 Yaba tablets (drug) from their possession. According to police, they were moving from Dimapur, Nagaland to Alipurduar, West Bengal for further delivery of the consignment to Bangladesh. The value of the tablets is estimated to be worth approximately 34 lakhs. The accused have been identified as Soma Paul (26) and Sangita Modak (30). The accused has been identified as 30-year-old, Vegnam Anuradha, who is involved in more than 25 cases. She was arrested on July 17 from Nandanavanam, Karmanghat.
