The New Delhi-Howrah and the Sealdah Rajdhani Express trains reached their destinations nearly 12 hours behind schedule on Wednesday, owing to late start and dense fog in north India, an Eastern Railway official said. The 12302 Howrah Rajdhani Express, which was scheduled to commence its journey from New Delhi station at 4.55 pm, started 6 hours late at 10.55 pm, he said.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is all set to visit Ayodhya to mark the completion of 100 days in power in March, senior Sena leader Sanjay Raut said here on Wednesday. It will be the first visit of the Sena chief to Ayodhya after his party severed ties with the BJP and the NDA over sharing of power after the results of the Maharashtra elections were declared in October last year.

Malls, multiplexes, and shops in Mumbai will remain open round-the-clock from January 27. Drawing a parallel with London, Maharashtra government said the decision could help generate more revenue and jobs in addition to the existing five lakh people working in the service sector. Maharashtra Tourism Minister Aaditya Thackeray, however, made it clear that opening shops, malls, and eateries in the night was not mandatory. What do you think? Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah on Wednesday lashed out at Anupam Kher for his views. Shah was speaking to The Wire about the ongoing anti-CAA-NRC-NPR protests taking place across the country. "I am not on Twitter. These people, the Twitterati, and I really wish they would make up their minds in what they believe in. Someone like Anupam Kher has been very vocal. I don't think he needs to be taken seriously. He's a clown. Any number of his contemporaries from NFD and FTII can attest to his sycophantic nature. It's in his blood, he can't help it," Shah said in the interview.

After nearly three decades, Mumbai- a city that never sleeps, will regain its freedom to remain awake and busy with commercial establishments allowed to function 24x7 from January 27. The Uddhav Thackeray-led government in Maharashtra has lifted the 'time' restriction applicable on malls, eateries and pubs in Mumbai from January 27. After the decision, Mumbai malls, pubs and eateries can remain open 24X7.

PM Modi will present the award to class 10-student Khillare for his strong will that saved the lives of two people. Khillare was dissuaded from learning swimming by his grandfather but he picked up the skill on the sly, a skill which saved two precious lives.

At least seven villagers were killed in Jharkhand after they allegedly opposed Pathalgarhi, police said on Wednesday. The incident was reported from West Singhbhum district's Gudri block - an area heavily dominated by naxals. The villagers were beaten by lathis and then axed to death. Commenting on the casualties, Inspector-General of Police (Operation) Saket Kumar Singh said that the police reached Burugulikera village on Tuesday night after getting information about seven villagers being killed and their bodies dumped in a forest. A panchayat representative was among those killed, he said.
