Good news for Galaxy Watch3 owners in the US - FDA appears to have given the green light and it's now officially ECG-certified in the country. This was made clear with a firmware update that the US users started getting. The ECG monitor on the watch is one of its key features, just like Apple's Watch and the Galaxy Watch Active2, for example, and it's a shame that only a couple of markets can take the full advantage of the hardware. At least for now, only South Korea and the US have approved the ECG monitor. Additionally, the firmware adds VO2 Max measurements so you can check... 08/15/2020 04:00
The Motorola Moto E7 Plus was spotted on Geekbench last week running Android 10 with an octa-core processor at the helm paired with 4GB RAM. The image reveals that Moto E7 Plus will be powered by the Snapdragon 460 SoC that was announced back in January. The chipset will be paired with 4GB RAM and the smartphone will have 64GB of storage. Although there might be other memory configurations as well. For photography, the Moto E7 Plus will come with a dual camera on the back with Night... 08/15/2020 01:48
Earlier this month HTC made the Wildfire E2 smartphone official in Russia, with entry-level specs and a price to match. However, it turns out that the Taiwanese company is also working on an even cheaper, even more basic handset to be launched soon under the Wildfire sub-brand. This will be called Wildfire E Lite, and it has just showed up in the Google Play Console. The listing tells us that the phone has a screen with 720x1440 resolution, with a now quite uncommon 18:9 aspect ratio. As you can see from the tiny picture showing the handset's front, there are no notches or hole... 08/14/2020 23:51
vivo is apparently working on the successor to the Y19 that it launched last year. The new phone is unsurprisingly called Y20, and it has recently been certified by the Indonesian authorities. This has given us the upcoming phone's model number, which is V2027. A little bit of digging has revealed that a vivo V2027 has run Geekbench on July 27, managing a 252 single-core score and 1,239 multi-core score. Information revealed by the benchmark listing and the page's source tells us that the vivo Y20 will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 460 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM. It... 08/14/2020 21:41
Google has launched and killed so many communications services and apps that it's not even funny to joke about it anymore. Whenever a new one comes along, we inevitably wonder how long before the company will bury its features into something else it has, or just kill it entirely - only to then launch something similar a few months or years later. Well, the time has come for Google Duo to get the axe. At least that's what sources are telling 9to5Google. Duo was launched many years ago alongside Allo, which was supposed to be the text chat companion to Duo's video chat... 08/14/2020 19:02
Telegram has announced that it is finally bringing video call functionality to all its desktop and mobile apps. The company made this announcement on the day of its seventh anniversary since it went live in August of 2013. The video call feature is currently being made available in an alpha state across all the apps. As with the voice calls, all video calls in Telegram are being end-to-end encrypted. The app will show four emoji on screen for you and your call partner. If both have the same four emoji, the call is encrypted. The voice call feature makes use of the... 08/14/2020 14:10
The Microsoft Surface Duo was announced back in October though we had to wait untill this week to learn about its detailed specs and availability. It’s one of the more interesting devices in recent memory and now we have the full press event video with Panos Panay guiding us through the software and pretty much everything there is about the device in a 35-minute product brief video. The video starts off with a breakdown of the Surface brand and its journey leading up to the Duo with a clear emphasis on addressing users’ needs and thinking outside the box in terms of both software and... 08/14/2020 10:01
The Galaxy Note20 series is already up for pre-order with official sales in some markets slated to begin on August 21st. One of those markets is South Korea and some early reports from local media are suggesting similar consumer interest in the new Note line to last year’s Galaxy Note10 series. Samsung has reportedly racked in 117 thousand for the Note20 series pre-orders which is a bit shy of last year’s 1.3 thousand figure for the Note10 duo though there’s still time to catch up. According to the new report, the Galaxy Note20 Ultra accounted for 65% of all Note20 pre-orders. We... 08/14/2020 08:57
After Epic Games tried to implement its own payment system in the Fortnite app, Apple and Google were quick to react and removed the game from their respective app stores as it violates the rules. However, Samsung's Galaxy Store doesn't have such restrictions so Epic Game's Fortnite remains available for owners of Samsung Galaxy phones. Also, Android users are still able to play the game by sideloading the 8.2GB APK from the company's website but the in-app purchases aren't working for now. Undoubtedly Epic Games is looking into the issue and will resolve the matter soon. As for... 08/14/2020 07:57
Redmi just announced a new affordable gaming laptop. The Redmi G comes at a mind-bending $760 starting price and goes up to $1,000 without making any compromises with the hardware. Of course, those prices are for the Chinese market so if the device ever makes it outside of China, they may change. You get a 16.1-inch display with super-thin bezels forcing Redmi to move the webcam at the bottom bezel. What's more important, though, is the fact that the panel supports 144Hz refresh rate at 1080p resolution and has 100% sRGB coverage, no matter which configuration you... 08/14/2020 07:03
Google already provides three years of software updates for its Pixel smartphones, and last week, Samsung announced that it will offer three major OS upgrades to its flagships starting with the Galaxy S10. Now Microsoft confirmed that its recently launched Surface Duo foldable smartphone will also get three years of software updates. This promise includes OS upgrades as well as security patches. It's still not as good as what Apple offers to its customers, but considering how long people keep their phones it's probably close enough so as not to matter for most. The promise will also... 08/14/2020 06:04

After unveiling its C15 last month, Realme brought an even more affordable version of its C-series with the new Realme C12 launched in Indonesia. It carries plenty of similarities with the C15 including a 6.5-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution, gigantic 6,000 mAh battery and the Helio G35 chipset. Realme C12 in Marine Blue and Coral Red. The key differences between the two come in the camera department where the new C12 comes with two 2MP auxiliary cameras alongside the main 13MP shooter.
