The National Information Center on Health Services Research and Health Care Technology (NICHSR) of NLM is pleased to announce the newly revised tutorial, Finding and Using Health Statistics. Designed to introduce librarians and students to the basic terminology and principles of health statistics, the course also provides a useful outline of the various U.S. sources for important statistical data. The course is eligible for 3 CE hours from the Medical Library Association. A certificate is also available upon completion of the course.

The History of Medicine Division at the National Library of Medicine (NLM) announces the 2019 History of Medicine Lecture Series. All lectures are free, open to the public, and held in the NLM Lister Hill Auditorium, building 38A located on the campus of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Lectures are also live-streamed globally and archived by NIH VideoCasting, which is made possible through a generous gift to the NLM from the Michael E. DeBakey Medical Foundation.
