If you’re an organization junkie and an iPhone user, then iOS 14 has provided you with a new tool: the App Library, which organizes your apps in labeled groups to make them easier to find. In fact, all your current apps can now be found there, and any apps you download in the future will be placed there as well. (You can decide whether you want the apps to also be visible on your home screen; we’ll tell you how later in this article.). This new feature can be very useful, especially if you tend to download a lot of apps. Automatic groupings. The App Library appears as a separate page on your home screen. Photo by Chris Welch / The Verge. Amazon’s fall Alexa hardware event is scheduled for September 24th at 1PM ET. It’s not clear exactly what might be revealed at the event — an invite sent to The Verge only said that Amazon’s Devices and Services team would be sharing “some news.” An Amazon spokesperson specified that the event is invite-only, however, which suggests it won’t be live streamed for the public. It seems likely we’ll see new smart speakers and smart displays of some kind. At last year’s event, for example, the high-end Echo Studio speaker, the Echo Show 8 smart display, and a third-generation Echo speaker. But Amazon could also show off some more surprising hardware; the company revealed the Echo Frames glasses, which had Alexa b.

Image: Netflix. Throughout The Devil All the Time ’s sprawling story — which unfolds across generations, families, and two wars that shaped them all — men go to the woods to seek God, and instead find horror, usually of their own making. That horror stretches outward to the small rural towns of Knockemstiff, Ohio, and Coal River, West Virginia, usually under the shadow of a cross or not far from one. In this film, being a god-fearing person is an exercise in futility because this is a godless land. The Netflix film, based on the acclaimed novel of the same name by Donald Ray Pollock and directed by Antonio Campos, is a slow-burning rural gothic tale that begins with Willard Russell (Bill Skarsgård) returning home from the War in the Pacific.

Image:. We might have just gotten our best look yet at the long-rumored new Chromecast and its dedicated remote, thanks to what appear to be leaked marketing renders . We already know Google plans to launch hardware, including a new Chromecast, at its September 30th event, so these renders could be showing off a product Google is very close to revealing. The look of the new Chromecast shouldn’t be much of a surprise if you’ve been following ; it appears to be a plastic oval HDMI dongle that’s slightly larger than the circular Chromecast devices we’re used to. But what’s more interesting from these renders is the remote control. We’ve already seen , and while these new renders aren’t drastically...

Apple. Apple has launched three new products today, following their announcement just a few days ago at the company’s “Time Flies” event. You can now order the $329 eighth-generation iPad, the $399 , and the $279 from its online store. The with USB-C charging won’t arrive until October. Speaking of October, Apple’s site says if you place an order today, you can expect them to be delivered during the first or second week of next month. That’s kind of a long wait, especially if you’re excited to upgrade. So I’d recommend buying them in person if you feel safe doing so (and if your local Apple Store is actually open). where you can check if your local store is open, and if so,...

A Tesla Model S owner in Alberta, Canada, was charged with dangerous driving after being pulled over for sleeping while traveling at speeds of 150 km/h (93 mph). The case raises questions about Tesla’s partially automated driving system, Autopilot, and driver complacency. The 2019 Tesla Model S “appeared to be self-driving,” police said, “traveling over 140 km/h, with both front seats completely reclined and both occupants appearing to be asleep.”Officers began to pursue the vehicle with their emergency lights flashing, at which point the vehicle “automatically began to accelerate,” eventually reaching...

Woot is selling the black model, which has bronze detailing in a few spots. It’s brand-new and has a one-year warranty. This isn’t the lowest price we’ve seen for this model; they dropped to $200 after its successor, the WH-1000X4, released earlier this year. And with Prime Day 2020 and Black Friday inching closer, it’s likely that we’ll see them go for even less. Still, this model is so good that we’ll tell you whenever it’s cheaper than usual.

Photo by Alix Diaconis / The Verge. might be the most wild-looking smartphone in 2020 — which is saying something, given the wide array of phones released this year. But despite that unique design, after spending some time with the actual hardware and software, I suspect that LG might actually be onto something with its approach to the Wing. The device seen here isn’t finalized hardware or software — expect a full review from The Verge later on — and LG hasn’t given a price or release date, which are big question marks for any device. But for what is definitely a first-generation device, I’m really impressed by the level of polish that LG has achieved with the Wing. It’s surprisingly thin for a device that has a second screen — several famil.
