In this paper, an EPQ model for delayed deteriorating items is developed where the demand before deterioration sets in is assumed to be different from that after deterioration sets in. There are three stages for the inventory system as follows: 1) the production build-up stage (0 ≤ t ≤ L1); 2) stage before deterioration sets in (L1 ≤ t ≤ L2); 3) stage after deterioration sets in (L3 ≤ t ≤ L). It is also assumed that the unit cost of production is directly proportional to the process reliability and inversely proportional to the rate of demand and shortages are not allowed. A numerical example is given to illustrate the developed model and sensitivity analysis carried out on the example to see the effect of parameter changes.

Advancement of Virtual Reality (VR) is creating many opportunities to efficiently managing educational system in the present days. Replacement of exhausted batteries in wireless sensor networks might lead to temporal disruption of network operations. Wireless rechargeable sensor networks (WRSNs) can mitigate this problem by recharging nodes before they run out of batteries. However, because WSRN nodes cannot perform recharging and task monitoring simultaneously, it is challenging to ensure continuous network operations while maintaining low-cost and low processing-power requirements of nodes. This study examines the current green practice implementation in institutions of higher learning (IHL) towards attaining sustainable development. Boost regulators working in the continuous conduction mode (CCM) are very popular in switch-mode power conversion. This configuration is widely adapted for power factor correction (PFC) in switch mode AC to DC converters. For lower power levels of up to 200 watts, boundary conduction mode (BCM) PFC is adapted, and for power requirements beyond about 200 W, CCM boost with average current control scheme is favoured. The rationale being that the larger the capacity of a containership, the lower the shipping cost per TEU and the greater the shipping volume it can handle. The cloud logging service is a core component for the operation and management of the production system. The service is usually a central server deployment whereby the dedicated central servers accept all log messages from leaf computing nodes. As the number of applications and solutions on the cloud changes dynamically, the amount of log messages that are forwarded to the logging service is also changed. The paper proposes a distributed logging service (DLS) that distributes log messages to multiple leaf computing nodes. No central server is required to manage the logging service. Laser scanning is a 21st century mapping technique that is used to generate high density point cloud data in three dimensions (3D). The 3D scans can be used for surveying, mapping and monitoring of rock mass movement in mining. For high precision and reliable work, the instrument must be used correctly, regularly calibrated and checked to ensure that it constantly performs according to manufacturer's specifications. The aim of this research is to highlight the relationship between tertiary education, nutritional standards and agricultural production. The authors performed the comparative theoretical analysis. The evidence shows that rural areas are lacking in role models and motivation, coupled with poor dietary standards and poorly educated elder generations. This study compared organic and conventionally produced chilli (Capsicum annuum cv. Huaraea SK.13) based on nutritional quality, storability and antioxidant system. Fruit were harvested at the mature-green and red-ripe stages and stored at 10°C, 95% RH for 12 days followed by five-day shelf life at 25°C, 75% RH. Organic chilli contained higher calcium and phosphorus than conventional fruit. Red fruit had higher calcium, phosphorus and iron contents than green fruit at harvest and during storage. Vitamin C was higher in organic fruit than conventional fruit and in red fruit than green ones. In this paper, a cross-layer-based efficient bandwidth reservation mechanism (CLBRM) is proposed for next generation wireless networks. Application layer and network layer are involved in the design of the cross-layer architecture. Cross-layer architecture is used to reduce the delay. Shared database is used to implement the cross-layer architecture which allows to share the information among the application layer and the network layer. The processing parameters of special-shaped granite processing by robots are still determined artificially and the machining efficiency and quality are limited. To address this challenge, in this paper, the grinding process was divided into rough machining and finish machining with different diamond tools and parameters. The relationships among processing parameters, forces and errors of the cutting depth in rough machining and the relationships among processing parameters, contour errors and surface roughness in finish machining were investigated.
